The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of characters who will branch out from the main group to begin their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might seem mismatched, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party knows exactly where to head next after a intense initial meeting with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each character has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • But, their status as key figures in the powerful family could enable the party reach places they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are hunted by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and Wicander defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Seekers and Planners groups.

Viewers can expect discovering which characters will be where in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
